What color scrubs do you wear?

Nurses Uniform/Gear

Do all the RNS in your hospital wear the same color?

Which color?

Is it by role, or unit? (like all RNS wear navy, techs wear ciel)

We are colored coded by job. Nurses wear navy blue, techs royal blue, lab maroon, radiology brown, respiratory black, pharmacy hunter green.

Many patients have commented on how much they like it cause it's easier for them to identify staff.

It really depends on your facility ... mine its wear whatever you want so long as its scrubs. So you have pcas, RN, lpns, wearing long lab coats, short white coats, white pants, pinks, fusha, purple, erm I wear batik prints and hello kitty so yea. uniform its whatever your company decides on. I agree that its helpful to have a set color so at one glance you can tell who is who.

Really thankful we can wear whatever color we want.

I wish as a case manager I get to wear scrubs but when I do agency work its usually blue !

Hunter greenŲŒ but I wish it was black (so sexy) ?

I work in a clinic and our facility as a whole has a basic dress code for everyone - RNs, LPNs, MAs, secretaries and receptionists - green or black on the bottom and green, black, or white on top.

As a student any I have light blue and charcoal you can wear any here

RNs wear grey and white (all grey or mix, not all white), NAs wear light blue and black (but not all black), PT wears navy, OT wears purple, respiratory wears royal blue, peds/picu/nicu wear "kid friendly" print or colored scrubs. Environmental services wear brown

I'm originally from the Dayton, OH area. Nurses wear ALL navy blue scrubs and techs wear ALL tan scrubs.

I went to college 2 hours away from my hometown and a hospital I had clinicals at allowed nurses to wear navy blue bottoms and ANY color scrub top. (I would actually prefer to have a little say in what I wear).

Our EVS and phlebotomists are the only ones to be color coded yet. Their uniforms are pretty similar though. I "inherited" eight or nine of the same Grey's Anatomy ceil blue scrub top from my sister, so I kind of have my own personal uniform.

No hospital wide color coding. I can wear royal, purple, or black pants and any top that coordinates with them. I love having so many options.

Admin rounded on patients and found that they didn't care want staff wore so the color coding went away.

My last job we wore any color, any print. During that time i opted to wear my own personal uniform: fuchsia scrubs. It helped my dementia patients to remember i was someone they could trust.

Now, with my new company, we wear a mandated grey. I find myself longing for bright variety.
