Do all the RNS in your hospital wear the same color?

Which color?

Is it by role, or unit? (like all RNS wear navy, techs wear ciel)

Right now we can wear whatever we can, but come May we are going to role-specific colors. RNs will wear Galaxy Blue, LPNs = Royal Blue, RTs = black, monitor techs/unit secretaries = khaki, CNAs = teal.

At another hospital I worked at, it was unit-specific. Two units had it where RNs wore ciel blue and techs/aides wore dark gray. All of the other units wore whatever they wanted to.

RN's wear royal caribbean here. RT's wear navy blue, I am so jealous, sigh.

Makes me want to quit nursing and become an RT, almost.

We have no color restrictions, except that only RNs and LPNs can wear white pants (though they don't HAVE to wear white pants), aides cannot.

One hospital is Navy ofr RN, Maroon for PCAs, Black for RT. Another is Ciel for RNs, Maroon for Techs and a third is Navy for RN, Kelly green for Techs.

Sometimes I think we should switch back to white for RNs'. I don't care for the color (and I wore it in nursing school) but the genreal public still associates whites with nurses. I'm not proposing that women go back to hats and dresses. In addition I also think that the long white coat should be fpr physicians only. There are so many people running around in lab coats and only a handful are Docs... I hate not knowing who I'm talking to, and I work there!

I'm also not a fan of prints outside a peds unit. It's hard to take someone seriously who's in a cardigan covered with hearts and flowers.

At the hospital I work at, Nurses (RN & LPN) wear Navy blue and/or white, techs/CNAs wear Hunter Green and then there are color codes for different departments like lab is red and black, RT is maroon, etc.

Our clinic requires RN's andLPN's wear white tops with either red, black, navy, green or purple pants. Our MA's wear the same colors in both tops and bottoms. However, a plus is that we can wear warm-up jackets with designs. It helps break up the monotony. The same goes for our hospitals, as well.

I still can't decide on a color. But I think I found the brand I like. What's your opinion on these?

Ours is color coded by role, RNs wear... WHITE Tops and either white or navy bottoms. Nurses definately did not get to vote on our color choices... guess how many uniform tops we go through due to stains! Techs wear head to toe navy, RT wears Royal blue, and all other departments get to wear whatever they want. No matter what color the patients dont seem to understand the system, everyone who walks through their door is "nurse." I think employee moral would be inproved if we could wear what we wanted!

I would be so sad if I had to wear a white top every day! I wouldn't make it out of the house without having to change!
