For those who wear whites...

I have a question for those nurses who wear whites. I really do like the idea of white for nurses because of the traditional look and the fact that you are easily identified as the nurse. I am thinking of investing in a set or two, but I am not sure I can cope with white head to toe. Does anyone wear just white pants with patterned tops, or else white tops with solid colored pants? If so, do you still get the traditional I-am-the-nurse thing like you would with all whites?

My other dilemna is that I am a school nurse and the cafeteria workers at my school often wear solid white. Right now I wear colored pants and patterned tops, some cartoons, and I am the only one in the school who dresses this way so I think I stand out as the nurse. But, I might have to end up changing my user name over this!
