styles for small but busty body types

ok same prob here- 36DD. I just bought some new types of tops- mock wraps are usually more flattering on my body and do not feel like a slob in my scrubs. They are more form fitting in the bust with elastic under the bra line but loose enough in the waist so they are still functional for working. The Cherokee flex-i-bles are stretchy on the sides and come in mock wraps. The Dickies W reformance stretch material is also very flattering and are form fitting in all the right places as well. I also have a few tops from Barco (tie back and mock wrap as well). Also, once you try a brand or style on in a store you can order the kind you like online in different colors and stuff. So no worries and good luck!

I am in the same boat. I am a 38G but I do have curves, I have hips and a but and waist. But I have a terrible time finding tops that fit. Usually if you go into 1x 2x and so on they get wide all the way around so they fit in the boobs but not the rest of me. Very frustrating!

That's an adorable style! And I have the same problem, 38DD bust a 34 waist and 42 hips. I look ok in tight tops that show off my waist and jeans, but in scrubs---matronly! I bought some wide leg pants that are stretchy, they are cherokee which I LOVE, they balance my hips and legs which are also large. The top you showed would be perfect! I think if you go for stretch also, that might help. Some of the new fabrics are nice too, a little pricey, but worth it to look and feel your best!

Oh, one more tip....Wear minimizing bras with an excellent bottom band. Olga that sells in Kohls is good and Macy's sells a lot of minimizers. Ones with non-stretch straps last longer, for me the straps wear out too fast and I'm sagging again in a few months. Good luck! Most people want to add implants! Can you imagine!?

I'm a 32DDD, and I really like my scrubs with an empire waist with a tie around the back, sold very cheaply at Wal-Mart. I wouldn't have thought of Wal-mart as a good place to get this kind of stuff, but I needed new scrubs before a 6:45 am shift and it was open. The small was just large enough that the tie was below my boobs when I'm wearing a sports bra.

Those scrubs you linked to are really cute, but I feel like the horizontal line over the boobs would just draw attention to my chest, which I'm overly self conscious about at work after having to hear a couple gross comments from an old coworker (not that you should to share my self consciousness).

Girl! Me too. I often have to get petite small pants (I have no butt ) and an extra large shirt. The shirt has to fit my chest but then looks like a tent in the tummy area. I have found that I can not wear the girly tops. The best tops are just the plain, cheap 2 pockets. I try on tops over and over till I can find something that looks decent. i have found that wearing flare leg pants hides a bigger shirt (does that make sense?)
