Stethoscope that doesn't hurt

1. Does anyone who has had a lot of ear infections as a child and tubes that left lots of scaring in your ear have a favorite stethoscope? I've tried a number of different ones including most recently the Littmann III. They've all hurt my ears within seconds of putting them on.

   Try changing the ear buds - I switched the factory one's on my Littman for soft silicone ones and now won't use anything else - and they are not even expensive.

   Changing the ear buds also helped me. I didn't have ear infections, but do have an awkward piercing which impeded my hearing. Good ear buds made all the difference!
