Sock color and school req.

My nursing school requires white shoes (ugh). Do white socks work with white shoes? All I have is a set of navy and dark grey socks.

Just go to Walmart and buy some white socks!!!!!!! And get your white work shoes.

If that's what your school wants, don't make waves for lousy shoes & socks. Otherwise they'll look at you as a troublemaker and that's the LAST thing you want to happen while in school.

For what this is worth, I agree with you that white shoes can be nerdy but these are work shoes. Comfort and safety are the priority here.

What color socks are required for you to wear? Schools can be picky about stuff like that.

Navy or black socks would work in my opinion if you have darker colored uniform pants--blue, burgundy, black, etc. NOT with white pants and white shoes both, though.

To OP - I don't know if I'm misunderstanding you or if you misunderstood me ?

My comment about 'rocking the boat' meant to advise you not to give your school admin any ammunition to cause them to hassle you. Like for you to just blend into the wallpaper, fly under the radar, etc.

Two of the easiest nsg school rules to abide by are to be on time and to comply with the dress code.

Why would I be giving them ammunition to hassle me? I'm asking about how to match shoe and sock color. This is completely unrelated to my post.

I would play it safe with grey, maybe even navy blue. I think white would clash too much with the uniform and black too much with the shoes.
