Shoes that don't wear out by 3 months?

Not to exhaust the topic, but I'm looking for the most comfortable kind of shoes for a person with high arches that underpronates? With every kind of shoe I've had (Nursemates) the "squishy" wears out within a few months, leaving my heels and the arches of my foot sore. :crying2: I'd like to have a light-weight shoe with a closed back (I'm clumsy as it is, without having to worry about my feet falling out of my shoes, lol). :D I understand that I get what I pay for, so I'm willing to spend a good amount so my heels don't hurt anymore! Any suggestions welcome! I've heard good things about Alegria shoes, has anyone with high arches tried them?

I have somewhat high arches and I love my Alegrias. They have good arch support with a cushy insole. You can also order replacement insoles when yours lose their squish. :) They last. The sole is sturdy, and the leather upper is sewn on securely, not glued like many.

Z-coils work very well for me.

I was having the same problem...so...I just got my first pair of Dansko's. They can be pretty pricey, but came with great reviews. I am on my feet for 16hrs a DAY!...and 8hrs on weekends! So far they have been very comfortable. They are a little roomier than normal, they say that is so when your feet swell, it is still comfortable. They are much different then the normal gym shoe, but seem just as comfortable as my old Shape Ups. They are pricier but they are popular for a reason!!
