Scrubs for the Overwieght?

Nurses Uniform/Gear

Published

I just graduated and am looking for scrubs. I had the same problem in school I do now. I am very over weight, especially in the middle. I am 5 ft 3 inches tall and 200 pounds. I like to wear pants below my fat belly, but as soon as I bend over, everybody gets mooned! I have tried tucking in an undershirt, wearing longer tops, ect... But there is always at least a partial moon. I thought about wearing pants up higher, but none have a crotch long enough to reach over my large mid-section. Can anybody give me some ideas?? I'm trying to loose weight, but I know it will take time....

Thanks for all the tips! I found a longer stretchy undershirt I wear sometimes.

I dont like pulling up my pants over my belly because I usually get a wedgie... A few of my newer pants seem to be doing ok so far...

Thanks!

I have heard great things about Cherokee Flexibles Maternity pants - from girls who aren't even preggers! :)

I'm about the same size. I too used to wear pants "under" my belly. I have slowly learned to wear them over. Honestly, it looks much better. Takes a bit to get used too but no more showing anything.

I wear xl urbane pants and xl urbane tops )or unit t shirts) most of the time. Get the urbane tops that are the 27.5" (I order from Lydia's uniforms). I also like the xl butter soft cargo pants w elastic from Uniform Advantage.

I'm the same height and weight and i cant imagine ever wearing anything under my stomach. The horror! Tuck that thing away! I'm talking about me of course, kudos to you if you're confident in yourself and everyone carries weight different. 99% of my weight is in my stomach area. I've lost 30 ibs so far....cant wait to be rid of the dreaded belly...seem to be losing wt everywhere BUT there..

Ive had luck with maternity pants in the past. Ive lost enough weight that I just wear an xl now but I cant imagine having pants under my belly. What about buying longer pants for averrage height and hemming them.
