Nurses uniform in US

Hello. I would just like to know what's the standard uniform for female nurses for hospitals and nursing homes in the US? Is it white uniform (pants and blouse) or scrub suit? And what's the usual design for the uniform? I hope somebody could tell me because I really have no idea? I would really appreciate anybody who could tell me all the details that I should know. Thanks in advance.

It varies from facility to facility but most places are just scrubs. Don't buy anything until you know if your specific employer requires a specific color.
