new balance shoes

hi all! i am getting ready to start school in the fall so i'm searching for some all white shoes. i have looked a many hours on these threads and new balance seems to be a popular shoe. i am needing some input from you new balance wearers . what kind do you wear? are they walking or running cross trainers? how much were they and were did you get them? thanks so much. any input is appriated. thanks
