Most Foot Locker stores and sporting goods stores sell New Balance sneakers. A white pair of these is usually acceptable for clinical rotations as long as they're leather. Also, they're so very comfortable.

Crocs hands down I just bought a pair in December I was skeptical because I have wide feet I work 12 hour shifts and I don't have any feet or back problems with these shoes they are great!

I'm not a LPN, but can I say, go for the crocs!!! I am telling you, you will not be sorry. 12 hours and no sore feet, believe me, I love mine I wear them all the time (cleaning after I leave the hospital of course) you can get them online, or at hallmark stores and Dillards (dillard's have the ones with no holes in the top) Also FYI, if you have any problems with your crocs you can email them and they will either send you a new pair or send you the part to fix them. (I broke one of the rivets, so i know)
Target has knockoffs of Crocs for only $10 & I find them just as comfortable as real Crocs.

I hope those are good. I bought a pair of those Payless Croc knockoffs today. They feel wonderful but I haven't worn them for long. We'll see. I wish they had a few more subtle colors (even though I bought yellow & green). Good luck.

I am a new nurse and started my first job 4 weeks ago. After working 2 12 hour shifts, I thought my feet were going to fall off. I soaked them and put them up on pillows. I was in so much pain.
I called a friend who has been a nurse for years and she recommended birkenstock. Went immediately to their store, AND THEY WERE OUT OF MY SIZE!! (they were around $100) So I went to a uniform store, and found Quarks. They were $29, looked like knockoffs of birkenstock.
I wore them and instantly, me feet stopped hurting. No More Pain. I went back and bought another pair, because with my luck, they will be discontinued! So I have a back up pair.
Also, I found that the inserts can be reordered when worn out. (it is a cork type insert) Also, the shoes can be immersed in water and cleaned with bleach. I am thrilled! If you cant find them anywhere, there is a website. Now when I wear normal shoes, I feel naked.

NURSE MATES style Dove, feel like marshmallows, light on your feet and very supportive. Also, as you walk they expand to your own toe span, so there is no rubbing or sore feet. I love them You can get them at any uniform store.

i wear crocs every day and everyone is right...no sore feet after 12-15 hours...but...my problem now is even though my feet don't hurt (and i have ra and bunions on both feet so crocs have been the only shoe i have found that don't hurt my feet) i feel i need more support. on a couple of occasions my arch has hurt and once it begins, it doesn't stop for the rest of the day (i even have the arch support inserts in both shoes).

I couldnt agree more. I LOVE CROCS. I work 12 hours shift 3 times a week and sometimes 16 hours and I have never never never had sore feet. I have 8 pairs in different colors and they never wear out. I have gotten pair that are fakes and they are not comfortable. You have to get the real thing! They are the greatest!!!!!

I actually like the Dansko sport the best. Crocs feel great and squishy, but my shins ache by hour 8! ( I do 12's) I alternate with Crocs and clogs, and put Dr. Scholls for back pain in my Crocs and this helps. I suppose if I went to Yoga more that would help too!

I agree with everyone who said Croc's,.....I don't wear anything else anymore! You can go to crocs.com to purchase them and they even offer a whole Rx Line which caters to the person with foot problems, as well as a Professional Line which has different styles (no holes and such). I can honestly say it is the BEST 35 bucks I have ever invested in shoes!
