black scrubs

Nurses Uniform/Gear

Published

Hi guys,

A while back I was doing a search on scrubs and I came across black scrubs that had colored trim, the only problem is that I can't remember the name of the site and i've tried searching for them but no luck. At work nurses have to wear black scrubs, so i've been trying to find black scrub pants that have colored trim, that way I can at least have some color. Thanks for any help.

Dickies makes them (if you can find them- the company changed hands & the flow had slowed down).

Urbane also makes black tops & pants with colored trim.

google is your friend for finding either brand ;)

depends on the hospital some only rad techs can wear black...where my brother works nurses are not allowed to wear black because patients may think they are Priests coming to give them last rights lol.

Can anyone tell me if antimicrobial nursing scrubs actually work?

Specializes in Home health was tops, 2nd was L&D.

I have worn black scrub pants for years, but wear with a brightly colored print top, am in home health and my patients always comment on how nice I look. Not sure about antimicrobial scrubs, imagine they help but might be hard to actually tell how much as I imagine washing them would affect after a while and type of washing and detergent you use. I always just change scrubs and shower when I get home and I started in L&D where I actually could get quite messy. And even know dirty homes or nasty wounds.
