best scrubs that're "relaxed" thru the hip & thigh...

by dreavt

I'm not quite plus-size, usually wear a 12 or 14, but I carry most of my extra weight in my bottom and thighs. "Curvaceous" you could say! I'm short-ish (5'3") and definitely need petite/short length pants. Anyone with a similar build, what are your favorite scrub pants? I like the look of many of the bootcut and flare styles, but am afraid of a sausagey fit...

Thanks in advance!

I'm 5'1" and wear a size 14, with most of my weight distributed in the thigh and butt area. I like wearing WS Essentials (White Swan) scrub bottoms because they're reasonably priced, have plenty of thigh and butt room, and have a pleasingly slimming effect when I am wearing them. I also like Urbane Scrubs, although they're pricey. Cherokee Workwear scrubs also seem to work out fine on my body type.

I am also 5'1" and wear size 14/16 and hold most weight in bottom and thighs. I have tried a few different pants - usually if they fit in the thigh they are too wide in the leg and look like elephant legs. Surprisingly the elastic waist fit well through the thigh and look good. I like the classic elastic waist Cherokee pants and two styles from Walmart - elastic waist and low-rise/partial elastic/drawstring pants. I also read that compression/support full hose helps your legs as well as make you look thinner and I only found that the pants seem to cling to the thigh area so I tossed those and got the knee-highs instead.
