Any recommendations for support hose for work?

I'm only 25 but already my legs are beginning to show signs of vericose and spider veins since the start of my 12 hour shifts. Any suggestions?? Thanks!

Wear support hose or tights, It makes a world of difference in how you will feel after your shift.

Grab a pair of those white pressure anti embolism hoses (or knee high's) out of supply. They work wonders when used correctly!

my mom will be 62 in october, still working fulltime, even after a coding at work and ending up with a cabgx3 and an aicd...she swears by the jcpenney super extra support hose...

Hi everyone!!

I checked out the Activahosiery site. I am a student and I am looking for some support hose also. My problem: Does any one make these in plus size? All I can find is Q- which if anyone has ever tried are not really that big!! Any help would be much appreciated!! Thanks guys

I buy my support hose at WALMART. They are energizers, full support, it's an aerobic workout every time to put them on, but I do hand springs coming and going, and they feel great. Only 6 bucks, Canadian, so much cheaper in the US. Whoa...look out dancing legs....

I too was finding my legs to be tired, swollen with signs of veins popping up. I found the best thing to do was to get a prescription for medical support hose. The brand I got were Jobst, size odered to fit your measurements (knee, calf, thigh) you can get compressions from 15-20; 20-30; or 30-40 ( I prefer the last) and they come in knee highs to full hose. They are expensive, about 95 dollars a pair (for full hose), but they lasted me about 6 months each (working 40 hours/week) and they were like heaven!! They are tight going on but all my complaints went away after about 1 weeks use.

I agree with you guys who suggested TED hose. They're expensive, but they're good. I HATE that hole in the toe area, though!

I also am in need of support hose but I get very warm while running around on the job and since I'd be wearing them under pants, would they make me perspire worse and feel warmer than I already do? Do the Jobst or Teds stockings (non-pantyhose) stay up while you're on the run? Any brand of support pantyhose cooler than others? :confused: :confused: :confused:

I wanted to resurrect this old post because I am looking for current recommendations. I really want to preserve what is left of my legs.

So, what type & brand do you recommend?

Also:

Don't they get you all sweaty/hot?

Don't your scrub pants stick to them?
