you don't need an objective, but it'd certainly help.

it looks like your resume is backwards, (i apologize i am very blunt). get a better objective, that one sounds like it was pulled from google.

use bullet points, keep it short and concise, if it looks like an essay it'll go to the trash.

this is the general layout i use, and the one i use to edit my friend's / coworkers resume's.

also, it may help to look for a workshop on resumes in your area, i signed up for one through redpenreview. helped a bunch. good luck

In some hiring circles, the suggestion is a career summary; objectives are a thing of the past, since the purpose of an objective is to state basically "I am looking at a job." An objective is more of a "get to know" in order to get one to look further into the résumé.

This came highly recommended to me. I completely changed my resume to follow it and I really believe it made a difference.

Take out the objective. Choose either your professional profile or skill highlights. Not both. Consider doing short bullet points at the very top. Imagine someone taking a 10 second scan of your resume- they need to be able to suss out whether or not your resume is worth exploring further. How will you grab their attention? The bullet points you have need more brevity. They are too lengthy for anyone to bother reading. The eyes just skip past them. Your wording for your BLS can be shortened as well. Being lengthy doesn't speak well to your documentation or your respect for the manager's time. Brevity is important, and needs to be conveyed through your resume.

Get rid of the objective. Use bullets for the 3-4 key items in your professional profile and delete the rest.

List 3 bullets under your current employer and previous employer.

List certifications and licenses.

Your resume needs to be concise. Hiring managers receive hundreds and will skim only.
