I would suggest checking out the threads in the International forum. Doesn't matter going through the licensure ASAP as there is no quick way to get to the US if that is your destination as all foreign nurses are still affected by retrogression and no idea when it will change. Much better to decide where you want to live and apply to that BON. You can find the International forum by clicking the local then international tab near the top of the page

You are not applying for NCLEX but licensure to be a RN in the US of which NCLEX is part of the process.

:welcome:

Hi, My friend took the nclex exam last february 2007 and until now, she hasn't received a letter on whether she passed or failed. How & who do u think she should follow-up? the BON or the test site. by the way she applied in northern mariana islands BON and took the exam in Saipan.

Hello, my license is from northern mariana islands-BON. Do all states in the US accept endorsement of licenses from this BON? coz i just applied at northern marianas because they process att's faster than California and that's the state I'm planing to work.

I've heard rumors that the difficulty of test questions depends on which state u applied. Is this true? like for example California BON has the most difficult set of questions..

She needs to chase it up with the BON not the test site. She should have heard something by now whether pass or failed.

The exam is a national exam so it is just a bad rumour on certain states are harder than others.

Only the Board of Nursing that the person wrote the exam for can give them the results. Pearson-Vue has nothing to do with this, except for when the state has Quick Results, and Saipan does not participate in this.

Sounds like her letter got lost, she needs to follow up with them.

And to clear up any rumors that still continue to go on and on and on and on and on:

The NCLEX-RN exam is a national exam, it does not matter which state or territory that you write the exam for, or the location. The exam questions depend on how you answered the previous questions that were given to you. Each person testing is going to get different questions, the exams are not the same.

And there is no truth to the rumor that the exam is easier for NY, or easier for CA. It just does not matter.

Dear Suzanne,

my friend tried to contact saipan thru phone but she can't get thru.. how do you suggest I can follow-up with them more effectively.. thnx!

NEVER...NEVER.. use saipan BON, you'll have headaches later on when you need them for endorsement, it is probably easy to get an ATT from them but getting verification will take months for them to process, i sent my verification for Ca license to this incompetent BON last march and i'm still waiting for them to send it back to Ca BON, this bon has no web site, no way to contact them, they don't answer calls, so i i'll NEVER recommend this bon.:angryfire

This is what we have been saying all along, perhaps some will start listening. But we do continue to see posters talking about wishing to go thru Saipan.

Only use them if you are planning to work there, for no other reason should they be used. It will take months to get anything done with them or thru them.

Can somebody help me to follow up for status of my application for eligibility with saipan?
