perfect! thanks! Can you PM me the address for the police department also PM me the book list? I think i'm also going to get the scrubs here but I'm scared I'll get the wrong color Lol. The shoes I might as well get here too. I have copies of my shot records but I should double check them and make sure they are all there. So we start clinical's after the first 2 weeks? Did they happen to mention how soon or how late we will be getting our financial aid check?
Yes, I will do all of that for you. Check your facebook messages I think they start orienting us in the beginning and then we head off to the hospital after the first 2 weeks according to the paper I got in orientation. As far as the refund...according to the academic schedule, Aug 27/28.

yaaaaay I'll be there next tuesday!! I am going with a friend of mine who is also going to start the nursing program at the same time. We are so excited but getting really nervous. It's a loooong way from Cali LOL. We are staying in a hostel until we find a place so we are hoping we can find a place ASAP. I'm undecided if I will stay for the bach program or just do the AA program. We'll see when I get there! Thank you all for all the old posts and information, that is the SOLE reason I made the decision to go to PR!!

If I were you I'd stay. Many places from what I've been told are hiring BSN only. Plus its only an extra year. One of the nurses I work with at the VA will be starting as a clinical nurse professor there at la inter for adult 2. She is amazing if you get her. If you take advantage you will learn a lot.

That message got edited in a weird way. Anyone starting at La Inter, I'm interested to talk to you! Time to get things done in the financial aid office, figure out housing, etc., etc.! Much to do...

We did that last week it was crazy! Lol a lot of running around and a looooong wait at financial aid. We still have to go back and bring a couple thing in order to set up payment for our financial aid. Did you already fill out fasfa? If so, then you walk up and they check it then give you a number to talk to someone and just let you know everything hen and there. After that then you go to another office to set up payment. Registration was a bit easier. But she only put me in 11 units. I want to try and add one more class. We still need to get books! We found a place really fast in the first couple of days! We (me and my friend/roomie) found it on classificados online. We live in condado the area can be pricey but we got a great deal and feel safe in our area. If you have any questions I can try and help. we are still getting settled our selves. We still need a car! Lol

Hey everyone I'm new to this site seems awesome so far! I live in new jersey 2 more semesters until i can take the nclex for lpn. Im looking into puerto rico nursing schools and thinking of moving there sometime in the near future. What I've noticed so far is the lack of pay and not a great outlook for a nursing career which is giving me doubts, am i wrong? I was also wondering if they offer an lpn/rn transition program?

You don't move to Puerto Rico for a job. The pay is awful. I had a friend working as an LPN making less then 8 USD an hour. I know some RNs that make 11 or 12 USD an hour. Yeah it is really awful.

At the moment La Inter does not have LPN to RN program. However I don't know about the other schools but I haven't heard of any that have a bridge program in PR.
