Sorry you are going through all of that trouble. Wish I could help. I do remember a while back someone said something similar about FL but another forum member called FL board and was told something different. Maybe try speaking with someone else or a person in a higher position. Not sure what you've already done. Good Luck!

Hihopes22 , What school did u decide to attend? Umet or Interamericana ? Excuse me if u already post the answer in one of your comments. I just didn't see it in your comments. Im contemplating between the two and plan to take a trip next month to visit both campuses, but I'm leaning more towards Umet!

DM get your license from Wisconsin. They take the degree from La Inter. Quite a few people I know have already taken NCLEX and gotten their confirmation from the nursing board. Once you have your license from Wisconsin then just transfer your license to AZ. Easy peasy. Good Luck.

FutureNurseLiz, I know I'm not Hihopes22, but just wanted to say that we should keep in touch bc I'm planning on attending school in the fall as well (not sure which one though). I'm visiting the schools in May bc I'm still finishing up school. Anyway, just wanted to put that out there

Due to unforeseen circumstances I had no choice but to go to UMET. With UMET I could start this month. I moved very last minute to PR (I flew out the 15th and bought my ticket a few days before). BUT...I can say I absolutely love the school and the technology they provide for the nursing students. The director is an awesomely sweet lady. I haven't even gotten the chance to see LaInter. Good luck to you!

Hi all! I posted here a while ago and am showing up again now that the application process is becoming more real. I plan on visiting PR in March to check things out. Does anyone know if UMet or LaInter require letters of recommendation? I have read the thing about getting a letter from your school's dean (which will be interesting to try to do) but I can't find anything else about general rec letters. I have two people doing them for me for other schools that I am applying to and don't want to have to ask for a second round of them.

    Thanks!

From what I understand, you don't need a letter of recommendation nor is there an interview process (both schools--so no need to worry over that). Visiting both schools is the best thing to do. From what everyone has been telling me, just make sure you have all your information with you when you go (transcripts, immunization forms, tax returns, etc) You can go to the school, apply, get accepted, and sign up for all your classes all in the same day. I'm going there in May to get everything situated. Do you know which school your leaning more towards?

Well I guess I've thought more about La Inter because there is more info on this thread about it. I want to work through summer and save money until I move down, so I would like to do the November start date I've heard people talk about. I don't even remember the UMet start date, but if it's sooner than the fall then that would make my choice for me. Really I don't feel like any of it will be real until I go visit! Then I'll be able to sit down and have a direct conversation and a clearer picture of what each program will entail.
