Anyone out there have info on the school in Arecibo, PR? It is a 24 month program that begins in August.

I'd love to hear anything, thanks.

zzzzzgirl

That's good, I called Florida Department of Health and they told me all I would have to do is apply to them wait 30 days, send transcripts from PR and apply to Pearson Vue then I would be able to take the exam. They told me that the English proficiency test is not required because PR is not considered international. So, I was really happy about that.

I wanted to edit my post to reflect what you found out from the FL Dept of Health over the phone, but it would not let me. Very good news for those of us who are coming back to FL.:yeah:

And to those who PM me. I still don't have PM privileges in order to respond but have received and appreciate the info.

So quiet...seems like no one is having issues with Inter...great! When is everyone flying in?

Yeah I wish.lol I still dont have my acceptance letter and classes start in 3 weeks. How is everyone dong?

I move next week!

I move next week!

Have u found housing yet?

No. I won't be moving out of my grandmothers house until the end of the year. I got a reply back for a job I applied to! Only downfall is she booked me for an interview today after I specifically wrote on my cover letter I won't be there till the 22 :(

Cool I hope u get to reschedule the interview. Are u gonna b in the accelerated program or the regular program?

I hope! I will be going to Umet for the bsn program

I am sure everyone is hustling to get things done in time to start classes. I myself have shipped my car and am currently packing as I fly out Friday. Was hoping to get my car out of the port Monday and get the "matricula" done the same day, but I just found out it's a day off for the island :uhoh3:. It hit me today that I won't be with my family and friends for awhile and I am sure other's are feeling the same way, but I just remind myself it's for a good reason. Wishing you all a smooth transition and positive first semester.

This Monday is a holiday? I leave next week and I have so much to do! Buy a car, register, transfer my credits.

Jen, I forgot when you said you where going to start at the UMET, but be forwarned that the "convalidacion" of your transcripts will take a while. Mine got there in May and did not get finalized until the last week and you cannot move forward in chosing your classes until this is done. And they won't accept you giving them by hand even if they are sealed you must have them sent from your school here in FL. Also, I had to do the grunt work to get it moving faster by getting the class descriptions from my school here in Florida and breaking it down for them. While they gave me all of my sciences they did not accept my math classes or my spanish class (so I am just going to CLEP out of them) because I did them online and since theirs has "Laboratorio" (which I did have lab in those course here in FL). There is a holiday on Monday, I forgot which one of the 100's they have a year so I am going to have to pray that I get out of the airport on time Friday to get my car out the port or I have to wait until Tuesday.

They have my transcripts that I turned in May. I emailed my descriptions to them. I have to call to see if they got it done .
