Yes, a lot of time in traffic. I live 4-5 min away and somedays It'd take 30-45 min to get to the Inter but not often!

    Hi ejnairobi,

Looks like we'll be classmates this year at La Inter. I can tell you that I was able to find a small 1 bdrm apartment in the Ocean Park neighborhood for $550 a month; I realize that I will be spending alot of time in traffic but I wanted to live near the beach. I found the apartment on clasificadosonline.com and I was able to link up with a really great realtor who took pictures and video of the apartment or me. But even if I hadn't found this before hand, I was told that it wouldn't be hard to find a place.
Do you know the name of the realtor that you used? Or his number or email????? I probably wont have much time to be looking for an apartment and signing the lease the few days that I plan to visit. It would be a lot of help if I could have that information kuz it would make a smoother transition for me if i go already having an apartment and stuff. HOpe you can help me out ! Thanks.

^ my mom said "bastante lejo", which means pretty far. She also said that's where the hillbillies live lol but she's a little judgemental, so ignore that.

If folks need a place to stay before they go apartment hunting, the school has some cheap rooms on campus(talk to E), otherwise I stayed at Fortaleza Guest House (hostel) in Old San Juan which was also very cheap. Its super easy to find a place, just walk around the neighborhood and start calling numbers (they don't use the internet here very much for stuff like that). The school also has a list of student housing as well...
