I just always here stories that Bloomington is the hardest to get into. The nursing lady told us at our info session last fall that the lowest accepted that semester was All A's, an 86 on the Teas, and then 3 points for living in the region. i don't live in bloomington, so I woudn't have gotten in that time. I would have needed an 89 on my teas to get in there since I don't live in the region.

I scored an 88 as well. I am going to take it a third time though I don't know if I can do better.

The Bloomington campus is really hard to get into because of the limited amount of clinical spots. There is only one hospital in town that we can go to (Bloomington Hospital) and they have to have room for us and IU Nursing so that's why there's so few spaces. I know Spring start ASN only takes 10 students here and Fall takes 20-40 (I can't remember to be honest).

Oh wow. I didn't realize that only 10 ppl get in for Spring. I was thinking they took 60 a semester. I guess it is 60 a YEAR! Well shoot, I am definitely not getting in then. I know of like 5 ppl in bloomington that got higher teas scores than and they live in the region. indy and Columbus are my top choices anyway.

P.S. someone in one of my classes says she got a 96 on her teas..first try. she is just out of high school and says that's why (she just learned everything that was on it). I guess it's possible but i've never heard of anyone getting that high of a score. has anyone else? she lives in Bloomington so that would give her 219 points. only 4 pts from perfect score.
Not so sure I believe her.

Ugh, the thought that she's in the same region as me, applying to the same campus as me makes me want to cry, if that's true.

This is why, even though my scores will *hopefully* get me in, I'm still crossing my fingers and knocking on wood and saying IF I get in whenever I talk about next semester.

Anxiety level hitting epic proportions...

Hi everyone! I am new to allnurses.
I think this thread was a great idea!
This semester completes all of my co & prereqs. I will be able to take the summer off. I really need it!
I have only applied at Greencastle. I am fairly optimistic.
