Circe,

I have heard of a lot of disorganization. I've heard girls in the program talk like the instructors are out to fail them. They have a feeling like the instructors do not want them to suceed no matter what. I hope this is not true. I called St. Mary's Human Resources and the woman told me they hire R.N.s doesn't matter ASN or BSN. I am not going to let rumors keep me back. I am determined to succeed in this program!! Sometimes the reports you hear, you have to take in account who is reporting. Some people can not handle much, so they throw off on other people to make themselves feel better.

I've heard the same thing about some of the instructors. That is just terrible. Why become a teacher if you don't want to help people? I just got back from open advisement at another school. They were pretty reluctant to say much about Ivy Tech's nursing program at all, other than Ivy Tech isn't able to admit as many students into their program because they do not have as many clinical spots secured. It was a very interesting morning and gave me a whole lot to think about. They did tell me I was pretty likely to be accepted into their program so now I have a lot more to think about. I wonder how that rumor about St Mary's came about? It's good to know it's not true! I do agree with you about taking the person into account that is relaying the info. I may have caught a student on a bad day or something. I just find it pretty unnerving that 2 students and 1 grad didn't have positive things to say!

Most the people I talk to have scores in the 70's or a few didn't pass. At my school, I talked to one girl who had an 86 that was the highest score of people I've talked to in person. She had 1 B for her pre-reqs. I know the people on this forum have high scores. This is a very very small percentage of the applicants. Don't sweat it, you'll get in! Honestly, I feel pretty good about getting in and I have a 206.
Thank you very much

So I went to get the mail today and I saw an envelope with an Ivy Tech log on it. I could see through the window of it and it said "... We have received your..." and then I couldn't read the rest of it. I was like OMG maybe they got super motivated and mailed stuff out early! But then I was like well, one week is awfully early, but *maybe*. Then I got scared because the envelope was clearly only one sheet of paper and that I would htink would mean a rejection, so then I was all sad!

It turns out that they were just saying they'd gotten my FAFSA last month. I'm such a nervous wreck!

Lennonninja: I did the same thing! I thought for sure I had messed my app. up & it was a rejection letter. I was shaking like a leaf when I opened that envelope. Stupid FASFA stuff, lol!

Welcome abbs1033! Where do you attend classes? What campuses have you applied to? I go to Indianapolis and Indy-Lawerence, and I've applied to Anderson and Indy-Law.

Thank you. I applied to Kokomo only. I live outside of Tipton and I don't really want to drive far away...so we will see. I got all my pre-reqs done in December and have all of my co-reqs done from when I was in school the first time, so currently I'm not taking any classes. Good luck to you, and I hope time goes quickly for you!

I always used to read the WAITING ON ACCEPTANCE LETTERS threads and wonder if i would ever get to post on that board. isn't it crazy that it is US now!!?!?!?!

Lennon- you are going to yourself a panic attack woman! I am completely serious when I tell you that I really truly believe that you are going to get in! I'm not just trying to make you feel better, i really believe that you are ok. I don't even question it, i just wonder which one you'll choose! i think you have a really good chance of getting into Bloom and I am very confident that you will be in Indy as well.

From the people I know in real Life (not talking about ppl on here , or ppl who know somebody who heard from somebody else etc etc)....from the real life ppl I know--> only 2 ppl that I personally know got 90+ on their teas scores. Most ppl have low to mid 80's. I heard a bunch of ppl last week in my class in Indy saying that all had high 70's ( a few had a B in a class)

I didn't/don't even know when they send letters out.

A girl in my class said they have sent out letters to people that have zero chance of getting in. These are people they do not have any As in the 4 required classes.
