Hi everyone
I have been a lurker of these boards for awhile but wanted to introduce myself. I am applying for Fall 2010 ASN program at Sellersburg. I am taking APHY 101 and ENGL 111 now and will take APHY 102 and psychology next semester. I haven't taken the TEAS yet and I am a little nervous to take it. My weakness is math and I haven't had a math class in forever. I wanted to wish everyone the best of luck and to see if any other Sellersburg students are on the board as well

Best of luck, Emmi! I'm sure you will do great!

Hi, Sychosuki and welcome! How's APHY101 treating you? I haven't taken the TEAS yet, either, but I'm planning to hopefully take it during the break between the fall and spring semester.

So far I have an A in anatomy. I still have one more lab quiz, the third exam which is open book, and the final to do. So hopefully I can keep it up Did you purchase the TEAS study guide from the bookstore? I haven't gotten one yet but I picked up a couple of other books at Borders to study with. I need to brush up on my math and science. I haven't done any math besides balancing my checkbook in years. It is one of the subjects that I freeze up on. I just have a natural fear of it for some reason. I took college algebra online a few years ago and got an A so I know I can do it if I apply myself :P

I went to the Nursing Info Session. I didn't really learn anything new, but it was nice to meet the program chair.

I hope everyone is having a great night!

Tara- That is how I felt as well. I am still going to go to another one closer to the April 1st date just to make sure my attendance is accounted for since I went to one back in July.
APHY 101 Midterm Update- I haven't taken the midterm yet...BUT one girl in my class posted in the discussion board that she took it and missed HALF!!! She also said she had been studying through all the material for the past week. I'm like GRRREEAT!!!

Congratulations on having an A so far in APHY 101!! ...I do as of today as well, but I still have the midterm (which I am scared to death of now) and then the third exam and final, plus the remaining discussions and lab quizzes.
I purchased the TEAS study guide from the bookstore that came with the two practices tests online. I took one of the practice tests just to see what I needed to study and of course I need to study Science and then the metric conversions in Math.

That's about how I did! I was so mad! Ugh...and I'm not usually a complete idiot when it comes to stuff.

I'm sure you will do great! It really depends on the questions, too. I saw a test from another chick and was like, "Man, if I'd gotten that, I would have done so well!"

I went to a nursing session on Blackboard and I was told it would count. I had to take a quiz and print it out to show that I attended when I take the TEAS. I will probably buy the study guide when I take my final in Anatomy in December.

As for the midterm I would suggest going back over all the exams you have taken and study those. Does your class have the practice quizzes and tests? If it does study those, especially the matching questions. It really helped me remember those. I printed them and any powerpoints on index cards and it really helped. I got a high B on the midterm. In my class a few people did very bad on the midterm as well. The tests are so specific for closed book.

Good luck

Not sure if anyone is a nerd like me and likes to get their books early, but if you are...the bookstore is now open for pre-orders on Spring 2010 semesters books
