Re: Any Harrison College nursing students?
Hello, I just wanted to respond to your thread. I too met with an admissions rep from Harrison College. I have a friend who works at another campus (non-medical), and thought I should check it out. I went ahead and applied to the college after getting the info because I feel it is the best choice for me. I was accepted into the LPN-ASN UCF Program and was supposed to begin in late August. Unfortunately, the distance from home, and the early clinical, would have made it to where I had to stay overnight in Fort Wayne one night every week. It would have put alot of stress on my family. Anyway, I am so glad that Harrison is a candidate to receive the NLN now because I finally see a light at the end of the tunnel. Although I was not originally planning on attending a traditional ASN program, I have found that it really will not take that much longer, and should be worth a few extra months. I could have continued to wait for a minute chance in the local Community College ( GPA good, but not all A's) or done an online program, but I learn better face to face, so this is my chance. Glad to see your post!
