I live about 45 minutes from Mansfield, Ohio but according to Excelsior, right now it's faster to get in in New York or PA. I really would like to take this CPNE as soon as I can. I think I can be ready by May. Do you think I should try to stay close to home and see if I can get a May date in the MPAC? Is it any more stressful to plan on traveling and try to get a date in the NPAC? I'm not sure that I would stay at home for the CPNE if I were able to take it in Mansfield, but the traveling costs would be less. I do like to save money. LOL. And what if I can get into Mansfield in May, anyways? On the other hand, I'm not sure that saving the traveling costs are worth waiting another month or more to test if Mansfield is super busy! I might just go crazy by then!:lol2: Any opinions?

The NPAC is definitely moving fast.. I've heard of people getting dates 1 day after registering for the exam. I'm sure you've heard my story before. I applied to all sites in the MPAC (except Texas) as almost ALL of them are about a 4 hour drive for me. I was really hoping for Mansfield too as driving around the lake to Wisconsin isn't fun! Anyways, it took them 2 months to give me a date, but I got a date right on my ready date.. I'm not sure how far the drive would be for you to other MPAC sites - maybe that is an option? Have you talked to the MPAC directly to see how long it would take to get into Mansfield?

Erin, is that you answering questions over at EPN? :)

Answering, rambling and freaking out on the EPN! Expressing my anxiety anywhere I can! I started the online workshop for skills today.. We'll see if it helps!!

I'm not sure how the registering process works, but can you see what date they give you for the MPAC first and if it's too far away then reapply for the NPAC? I'm in NY so I'm happy to hear it's moving so fast up here!! I would definitely consider travelling if there was a long wait here so I say go for it if the wait is too long!

I'm going to call the MPAC soon. I'd rather make a decision before I apply, so that I don't have to pay the $100 fee to transfer the application to a different region if I change my mind. I've decided that I'm going to be prepared to travel. Once I call the MPAC, I'll make a decision and plunge ahead.
