Transferring credit for online BSN programs?

Nursing Students Online Learning

Hello, I just got accepted into an ADN program in my area. I opted for the 2 year program b/c dh has to move in 2 years, he is in the army. All of the BSN programs around here are 3 years even though I have a former BA. Anyway, I would like to go directly into an RN-BSN program once I finish my ADN program here. I have been looking at University of Maryland and University of Wyoming. Will my pre-req's like a&p and micro transfer to out of state schools or will I have to take them over again? I am at an NLN accredited school. I would sure hate to have to take another year of pre-req's all over again. TIA

You will have to ask the specific school that interests you about your specific classes. Each school has its own requirements and policies about accepting credits from other schools. It's a lot easier to transfer credits now than it used to be ... but all schools will require you to take some classes from their own program before confering their degree upon you. Exactly which ones will transfer and which ones won't will depend on the specifics of your particular choices. You'll have to talk to the school itself to get reliable information.

Good luck to you!
