Yeah, I am taking Straighterline's Biology now, BUT, don't go this route unless you plan on purchasing the exact edition of the book they recommend, and have plenty of time to devote. The type of questions asked on their unit exams require you to have read that exact book (I go the brand new edition, and it has thrown me off). And the way that some questions are worded, requires knowledge specific to that textbook.

This in hindsight should have made sense to me because every part of the course comes straight from the publisher of the book (McGraw Hill) including exam questions. That is why having the book is so important. And if you would like to do these courses in 4-6 weeks, plan on spending a great deal of time DAILY on them, without interruption. I have kids so, it gets crazy.

I am stopping the class now, and just going to take the Biology CLEP (worth 6 credits), or ECs Pathophysiology exam.

I think it's $99 to enroll, and then $39 for a course. I'm not sure if it's $99 a month. Some people take as many classes as they can in a month. They haven't started yet though. Check out the website it's interesting. I want Pharm I&II. I am planning on going to NP school and I have to take Advanced pharmacology.

I want to do NP school down the road too so Pharm would be good even if not given any credit at another college the knowledge would be fantastic! i feel stupid when it comes to pharm still sometimes! I looked over the website and i think it's going to be great for my husband to get some gen ed credits under his belt as well.
