I'm hoping to, I applied to a different facility and am waiting to hear if/when I can start.

I should also be starting in Jan. I was approved for this fall, but I was under the impression that I would be paying a TON out of my pocket so I pulled out. Got a bill a couple of days ago, must have been a mistake that they mailed it, but it was just over $100! I was kicking myself when I saw that! I have emailed the school but it's thanksgiving break so I probably won't hear back until next week. Wish me luck

Good luck, guys! The main thing with many of these programs is that you'll be charged with doing a lot of the work at your own pace. Just don't quit!

Im starting an online LPN to RN bridge at Valencia Comm. College in January and am very excited about that! After that I plan to take the RN to BSN program that is offered online at St Petersburg College near Tampa now. It should be very cost effective and convenient at the same time! Im looking forward to reaching my ultimate goal a step at a time!

Just be prepared for alot of reading, case studies, tests and brush up on your APA format for the courses and you'll do fine:spin:

is this program highly competitive to get in? sounds awesome!

Luv4nursing.....I'm not sure how competitive it was to get in....but I had a really good GPA (3.9) from my associate's degree program.....I had to write an essay and get some letters of recommendation which I got a few physicians (that I have worked with for the past 8 years) to write on my behalf. It's rather expensive being a private school and all, however if you are a Florida resident, you will receive a Florida Resident Assistance Grant which helps a little....then there are always student loans...YIPPEE....can't wait to pay THOSE back!! I'm just ready to get started...sooner I get started....sooner I get done! My goal is to get out of the hospital and to teach! :spin:
