Grand Canyon University RN to BSN Reviews

Nursing Students School Programs Nursing Q/A

Howdy all, I bit the bullet and after much research, I decided on Grand Canyon! Wow, I did not expect BSN schools to be like used car salesmen--hounding me by emails and phone calls. Rather impressed on how Grand Canyon sort of left me alone, but at the same time kept in touch.

Commence my first class Sept 30th, excited, yet very nervous, as I'm not a big fan of school, LOL! I did extremely well on my Associate degree, graduated back in 2009 from Northern Virginia Community College. We shall see.

Would love to hear from past and present Grand Canyon RN to BSN students.

Hi Scott!

I start at GCU Sept 30th as well! Professional Dynamics. WooHoo!

Welcome to the party!!! Hopefully all goes well!!

If you have not checked, you can check into the class and see what is required--Just can't post--but you can start the readings and prepare your discussion questions!!

Hey Flames, how is the first week going?

First week appears to be a breeze. Like you stated this is probably the easiest of all the courses----3 out of 4 people in our group have made an appearance, lol

Love those group projects....NOT!

Glad it's going well for you so far. ?

I truly do not believe in group projects, but it is what it is. The 3 others in my group seem cool, so all is well. time for bed

I have friends going to local BSN programs that are having a difficult time with group projects. Lazy people, personality conflicts, you name it. Pain...in...the ...butt.

Well our group of 4--is now a group of 3!!! 1 gal dropped out. She was nice enough to inform the Prof on 1 part of the forum, but could not be bothered to tell us group members, so probably a good thing she dropped out.

I'm amazed that people sign up and then drop out like they do. Probably a good thing she did so early on before the busier classes start. Makes more work for you though!

my understanding once u reply on the discussion board--ur locked in to pay for that class!! A bit more work, only 1 true group project on this first course!! Rather have 3 strong people--than 3 strong and 1 piece of dead weight, lol

I just finished my 4th class with GCU. My statistics class just started today. Eeek!!!! So far in every class I have gotten an A without putting too much effort in. The group assignments are outrageous. The class I just had about community health had 2 group projects that were worth 1/2 the grade of the entire class. I find that to be a bit ridiculous. Let me know if I can help you with anything.
