There's a thread (started a while back (4/16/2011) in allnurses called "RN-to-BSN or MSN Programs without Clinical Requirements" that lists schools.

I second Ohio University! Cheap tuition, accredited, well respected, entirely online, and no clinicals.

How long did it take u to finish with Ohio? Any extra BS classes you had to take too?

I was just refused admission to USI intheir RN-BSN program because they claim NY passed a law requiring all online programs outside the state must have a clinical component. How can NY make this requirement of a licensed Nurse? How can they enforce it? I have my license! I can find no word of this online, can you? I emailed the DOE but no response yet.

University of Texas at Arlington. You don't even need to be in Texas.

The University of Texas at Arlington - UT Arlington - UTA

nycjimbo, I live in New York and am going to Ohio University. $243/credit hour and they do have a clinical component but it is just a project that you work on with a mentor. You don't actually have to go to clinical per se. I started in Feb and will be finished next April. "Yes" I had to take statistics, microbiology, nutrition, music, and cultural anthropology but they accepted credits from over 3o years ago. Nursing classes are 5 weeks, and move fast. I am on my 4th nursing class out of 9.
