Online nursing, is it really a possibility?

  1. 0 I've been doing a lot of research lately on different career paths and I've read a lot of things about online nursing programs (with on-site clinicals), is this really a possibility? I am in the process of a career change with an interest in healthcare/medical/laboratory settings, I've looked into local nursing programs (and read a lot of these allnurse forums) and have come to realize that nursing school is not realistic for me, since I have to keep my job.(yes, I feel like this most days!) I'm just curious if there are any of these programs in MA?

Yes it is very possible. It's just a matter of time management. I'm currently studying online nursing, and a lot of my classmates keep their full time job. It's not as easy as it sound though coz u have to sacrifice a lot if you want to juggle studying with your current job. By saying sacrifice, I meant decreasing leisure hours, and using every extra time you have to study.

There are no online programs for basic nursing, in MA. Only part time evening classes at many community colleges.
