names of online accelerated/second degree bsn programs?

I just finished my ABSN in 11 months, it would be very difficult to complete such a program online and I would highly discourage you from trying to do so. It makes much more sense in class with a person explaining topics. That being said, we completed almost 900 in-person clinical hours during our program so you do have to be in-person for a majority of the time anyways.

I would recommend doing an ABSN program if you have the time to commit fully to nursing, I mean have no life! haha. Its tough, I completed the same number of credit hours in almost 3yrs at my former university!!

There are many ABSN programs to choose from, find one that fits your needs, 11mo vs 15mo and the location you'd like to be

im not talking about those for profit schools like university of phoenix. the only ones i have found is university of texas arlington and university of maryland. considering getting a bsn after i graduate in december with my 1st degree.

It's not worth the pain in the rear end to try to find a clinical site and preceptor for any strictly online program if the school doesn't provide a clinical and laboratory experience for you. Most States by law mandate a minimum number of supervised clinical, laboratory, and lecture hours, and usually accreditation agencies mandate over and above what is required by law to receive "accreditation." I'm not even sure how an online program would guarantee that graduates of their program would meet said requirements. I'm a big believer in the classroom experience. A big part of nursing is being able to communicate with other people face to face. I'm not sure exactly how you learn that and really hone that skill sitting in front of a computer.
