I have been trying to study for LS 1 for two weeks now, sooo much info... I am still in Cardio haven't even read about Resp. * abnormal cells... Any Advise, I did print the study guide and was doing good but then getting so discourage it's much info.

Hi Westpalm,

I actually just took this exam this morning, happy to say I got an A :w00t:

I actually used a College network study guide that I got on ebay for a great price. I also used the saunders NClex review material, as I do not think the college network covered the material well enough.

These Lifespan tests require more studying than the previous tests, In my opinion. Good luck!

Congratulations K3104, Westpalm, I feel you I shall be taking the test on saturday but the informations is just overwhelming, i am currently using saunders, SG 101 while following the content guide.

I am printing off LS1 Content guide right now as I write this, so I can't offer any insight yet, but I am going to be using Saunder's for extra pracitce. Good luck on your exam WestPalm and Congrats K!! You are cruising! I am taking Repo as soon as I can get an opening!

Thank you for your post, I am going to do my very best because I need to test soon... congrats @ K3104, so happy for you!

Hi Isabella! We are having an informal LS1 study group tomorrow night, Wednesday 7 pm CT at the Excelsior College EPN Chat Room A if you would like to join us! Basically we are just going through the content guide, but it is really good practice to be able quiz eachother and put terms through the nursing process. Good luck in your studies!

I too am studying for LS1. I am using the SG 101 but mostly the Saunders Nclex Guide- its easier to read and understand than SG101 Imo. I took repro fri and passed. I too am going- Wow where to even start!?! But I figure I better just jump in!!

Anyone know if we should be able to know differences in the wave readings? TIA

Anyone know if we should be able to know differences in the wave readings? TIA

I asked EC this question, and I believe the anwer I got was we don't have to interpret wave form patterns but we do need to know the various dysrhythmias, meds, interventions etc.
