Kingwood College 2011 Quest Online Nursing Program

Nursing Students Online Learning

Published

I applied to Kingwood's quest online nursing program for fall of 2011. Can anyone tell me who's gone through the program what the typical schedule looks like? I know that they said that it is a more flexible schedule. Also, does anyone know what the cut off score was for the last time that they offered this program? I am anxious while I wait to hear back.:lol2:

Ebonynt19 you are so funny. I'm not the only one freakin' out a bit I see...

Why is Cyfair so popular????

I'll see yall at orientation!

I'm bringing my intent to enroll letter to orientation. I have lots of questions regarding the class format, but I'm patiently waiting for orientation and hoping that all my concerns will be addressed. I'm really excited though....

Congrats philoluna!

Anyone else out there receive a letter of acceptance?

I had applied to Cyfair because it is close to the house and just in case I didn't get into Quest. However, I am in so they are going to give my spot to an alternate at Cyfair.

Turned in my Intent to Enroll form today!!!!

Does anyone know where the orientation will be held? I looked everywhere on the letter and could not find any further details. I also sent an email to the program staff but they have not replied yet.

I received a phone call from an instructor at Kingwood College Nursing the week before I got my acceptance letter to Quest in the mail. This Nursing instructor (forgot her name) informed me that the quest program was being cancelled due to lack of interest. There simply weren't enough applicants for the program. The instructor told me I had two options: 1. enroll in the face to face transition program, or 2. enroll in the 15 month online program, that is not a transition program. I opted for the 15 month class, but I was really disappointed that the Quest program had not worked out. I was really confused when I received my letter of acceptance into the Quest Second Degree Program. Did anyone else receive a phone call?

That really sucks. I have not received a call from anyone, nor any emails. Did they say that you would have to re-apply, or would you be admitted to the program based on your admission status with Quest? Also, did she mention anything about orientation this Wednesday? This is horrible!

Is the 15 month an LVN program or an accelerated RN?

Also (I know I keep going on) - but it is very weird that they would send out letters of acceptance if they did not have enough applicants. It seems that they would gather all applications, determine that there were not enough applicants, and then send out letters stating cancellation of the program...Hope to hear something from someone soon. Was really excited about starting the program; my arm has been killing me from getting both the Varicella and Tdap on the same day!
