I think the ISU requires that you use TCN.

Hello, Im enrolled in the ISU lpn-bsn program and yes you do have to enroll with college network. Although you are not required to do your general ed requirements thru college network it is the cheaper way to go. Also the 4 nursing courses you do take prior to ISU nursing program is thru College network. hope that helps :) chao!

I'm enrolled in it too and no you don't need to go through College Network for the CSMs. Have you seen the emails from students selling these study guides? I get a ton of them! You don't *have* to purchase the guides unless you fail the testout.

So the people who are in taking the ISU route, are you happy with the choice? In my situation, I am up for Excelsior, but hearing what is going on in Georgia, I am not certain because of the clinical issue. I may have a chance to get into a Community college program starting January so I could get my RN in one year.

I wuold be interested in the ISU program, but have not taken the time to research about them. Since I have a BA degree, I may not have that many courses to finish up to get a BSN.

Several nursing staff Iwork for have told me some people who have tried the CN and ISU have not any luck with them. Can some people share their experiences with ISU an CN?

I'm very happy with ISU. :yeah:My professors have always been very available and they really make sure you are doing what you need to be doing in clinical...working with the preceptors and all. It feels like traditional nursing school to me, just more flexible with class time. I :heartbeat that I can pause the lectures, cut n paste the slides rather than scramble to take notes, and relisten anytime I want to. And with the tests they are posted for a week so you can take them any time within that week not necessarily a certain day. I also love the fact that I'm the only student frommy school in clinicals. You're very autonomous because it's just you and your preceptor. No classmates getting in your way and stealing the cool cases. :cool: That's my favorite part. If I were a Gray's Anatomy character I would be Christina so this suits me well.

I can't really tell you much about CN. I only used them for a few classes. I bought the guides, read them then took the tests. Not much to report on there. lol!
