Nursing Students Online Learning

I have already completed all of my pre-reqs at my CC EXCEPT Anatomy, Physiology, and Microbiology. So for these 3 remaining classes I just wanted to do it all online, both lecture & lab. I know that it is possible to do these courses online for the lectures part but I'm not sure is it possible to do the labs online too or not? So is there anyway I can take everything online without having to come to the real setting to do the labs and exams b'cuz I know I cannot travel that far without a car.

I'm planning to take Anatomy online this Fall, so please let me know whether I can take the lab online or not.

Also, is distance learning/online classes expensive compare to real campus?

Check Ocean County College in NJ: http://www.ocean.edu. They have these courses online and lots of people have been able to use them.

Thank you caliotter3 for the reply. I visited the link but I couldn't find Anatomy course, they have A & P combined in one course, but I need to take Anatomy and Physiology separately. By the way this online school requires one to come to their real campus to do the labs and exams I believe which it is not working for me at all.

So is there any other online school that you or anyone know please let me know. I am looking for an Anatomy course that offer completely 100% online, so I don't have to come to real setting for the labs and exams. Thanks!

Yeah, A and P are combined at Ocean County. Too bad, because everyone says the courses are very student friendly. Then, try CCConline, the Colorado community college online. Their courses are popular too. Don't remember if their anatomy and physiology are separate or not, will check.

Sorry, just got off CCCOnline website and their A&P also combined. Try an internet search, because there has to be separate courses somewhere that people are taking advantage of. Good luck.

Yeah I just went to CCCOnline too and took a look at their site but they don't offer Anatomy by itself but they have Micro which I can take it, but I have to wait until I passed Ana. course first in order to take Micro.

I tried google for 'anatomy course online' but no luck yet.

Back to searching again...

When I did a google search, I came up with a physiology course online, but so far, not anatomy. The physiology course is an 8 week course running through the summer, starting in May, as I recall. It is a google ad on the right side of the page, instructor Dr. Paternostro, school West Virginia University. Will keep on looking, because this has me stumped!

Not so sure if your'e trying to take it from a school because the lab is hands on. I think you can clep out of it, through a correspondence course.

I visited West Virginia University site and I saw they have both Anatomy and Physiology courses separately but I'm not sure the courses are online or classroom b'cuz they didn't say so. Hopefully those A and P courses are online I guess I might need to send them a message to verify this. So thanks again for the link and your help caliotter3.

Here's the school site where I found the A and P course separately, but I still need to verify whether it's online or classroom:

I'm trying to take all the science courses fully online. And hopefully I can find an online school that allow the labs to do online too but I guess it would be very difficult to find one.

Question: What if online schools don't offer the labs to do online, can I take the labs at my college?

I found all the courses you need online, but these courses are relatively expensive. The University of New England offers a series of medical prerequisite courses that can be used for various healthcare schools. They offer biology, chem (inorg, org, and biochem), anatomy, physiology, micro, etc. The courses are accepted by many top notch healthcare programs. Looking up the URL for the anatomy course now and will post it: http://www.une.edu

Here is the URL for the info page on the anatomy course:

http://www.une.edu/com/online/anatomy/index.cfm

As you can see, it is $1430 for the course, but you are pretty well assured that any school will accept this course. And you can start any time you want and finish the course as fast as you can handle it. Now that is flexible.
