Nursing Students Online Learning

Published

I would like to know about any Pn Programs online. How many semesters are PN programs? Can you work while in school? Are you prepared before taking any

board. If any one can respond then I would greatly appreciated. I have just heard that it is so hard to be a nurse.

Well, in my part of the world, it is four semesters. They are split between class and practical experience time.

University transfer courses in the liberal arts are required. A&P was a killer for many, as you must pass it before you can advance to the next semester, irregardless of how well you did in the other classes.

There are waitlists for the PN programmes in my area, anywhere up to 18 months.

I've noticed in your previous posts that you were doing RN courses. Please don't think that the PN courses are easier somehow to get through. In my area, the PN students had a more in depth pharmacology course than the college RN students across town. We covered alot in a short time. My college had a 100% pass rate on our national exam with 98% of my class working (in acute care) within 6 weeks of graduation

Does any one know of any LPN Programs online. You always here abour RN programs online. Are there any LPN programs online.

??What is Maric??

I was just wondering about PN Courses. I guess pharmacology courses are ususally the same. LPN can't transfuse blood but RN's can. It has really been

so difficult at my school. It makes me feel that they think that you are already a nurse. You are there to learn how to be a super nurse to your patients. I guess that I just upset from the treatment from some of the instrutors. I feel better since I had time to vent about the issue. Thank You for responding to my thread. Good Luck in you career as a nurse.:nuke:

What is Maric?

I moved the post to a more appropriate Forum, where more responses may be found.

Good luck!

I so hate it when the blood transfusion thing enters the equation. I co-sign for the blood with an RN. She hangs the bag and leaves. I monitor my patient, I decide if the transfusion is going well, I discontinue it if required by stopping the blood and notifying the charge that I have done so.
