Hello out there fellow students! I am currently enrolled in a cc finishing my pre- nursing courses. I am bogged down by the wait of getting classes over with and want to hurry up and finish. I would like to know more about the Deacones school, is it an ADN school, is it totally online, and what is the cost. Any other "things of information" would be appreciated !

It's a 100 yr old nursing school in St Louis that has recently begun online programs. You can get your LPN, ADN or BSN all online with 4 or 5 visits to the campus during the program for check-offs. The phone number for the school is 1-800-942-4310

You are not alone, I too had to read it a few times before I really understood it correctly!

    It's a good one.

Sounds to me like she's talking about prereq's. She must be anxious to get started with nursing courses? Aren't we all?

BTW what was your snowfall total? I think we got about two feet, depending on where you are standing. Too much.

    Hey there,
How are you? The snowfall total according to MDH was 18".
Translation by our dog, TOO MUCH!

She jumped off the porch to do her bussiness and froze when she hit the snow, turned her head back towards me and gave me a look as if to say, "you could have at least warned me!" Too funny, needless to say now we have to push her off the porch everytime. Labs, they are such big sissys!

    Still waiting, how about you?

I am still on the fence about school.

I have had a horrendous week. I lost my brother and I'm trying to deal with that right now. I have a post up on the general nursing forum. Wow, there are some really thoughtful people on this bb.

Oh my gosh Mona..... I am SO sorry to hear you lost your brother. Put everything on hold and take care of yourself and whoever else you need to take care of right now. This is life.... school isn't.

My thoughts are with you and your family.

Okay, so do I have this right?

    Deaconess:
    -no prior healthcare experience required
-clinical validations done at missouri campus

    Excelsior:
-prior healthcare experience required (EMT, Paramedic, etc.)
    -well known program

You all have piqued my interest in online education.
