I'm confused

  1. are the content guides (that u can download for free from EC) and the course guides for the same classes (that u buy from their bookstore) the same thing?

also, if i've already had fundamentals...a&p...etc. do i still have to take those classes? thanks for any help. i've tried to call a few times but always get the machine witht he hours or something else. i wonder if i email them if they could answer me that way.

    again...thanks for the help

I don't think those are the same. What you can buy from the bookstore is a guided learning package. It's the outline plus info. The content guide is a outline of everything that is covered no the test and is free. You can download it or you can request they send you a paper copy.

For classes, fundamentals probably will not transfer. A & P should transfer, if so you would not have to take it again. Most classes that are part of your LPN school don't tranfer, but your licence (your lpn coursework) allows you into the program. The general ed classes that you have taken through a local community college or university should transfer as long as it is not part of your nursing course work. An example would be microbiology for LPN, or nutrition that has the code nur100 which designates it as a nursing course as part of an lpn program.

From my experience Ec is very good about responding to email. I personally prefer email, I hate those automated systems

    Hello,

I have actually e-mailed excelsior a few times with questions, and they have e-mailed me back within 24 hours to let me know that they are forwarding my question to the right department (I never seem to know what e-mail to pick) and then the right department answers my question within a day by e-mail.

    E-mailing seems to work good.
