Not to mention ... totally inaccurate once again. EC grads achieve more faster than traditional grads ... that is ridiculous.
I think you should compare the two again, and get back with me.
Not just childish but insulting as well.
perhaps, but at the time I felt one good turn deserves another. The only regret I had about making that statment was that I allowed someone else to dictate my response. Childish? LOL You assume too much. I think your assessment is based partially on a false pretense. That being that the charge nurse has a legitimate concern. If this were the case, she would have presented it as such. But, no, she flat out attacked me by stating that I would be incompetent once i've finished. It reeks of an ulterior motive, which I believe is based on personal issues she has with males - come to find out. What she, and YOU, fail to understand is that I have a level of understanding of not only the nursing profession, but also of pharmacology, anatomy & physiology, pathophysiology, physical exam that far exceedes the majority of new graduates from any traditional nursing program. I know, I know, it's a loaded statement, but I can prove it.
It's not like traditional programs allow you to go any faster in the program. You're on their schedule ... that's how it works.
I'm very familiar with 'how it works'.
Even with pre-reqs to get into nursing school, you have to take courses in a certain order and it takes a lot of time because that's the requirement.
Who's problem is this? I didn't choose a traditional program for several reasons:1. the ridiculous amount of BS classes you have to take outside of the core requirements; 2. the unfair treatment many male students have reported to me that they received at local schools; 3. time restraints on my schedule due to head-of-household issues. If you have issues with the time investment, maybe you should look into alternative programs.
Maybe putting down traditional grads makes you guys feel better
No, but defending myself does.
but quite frankly, it's lame.
perhaps, but in my logic, it is both lame and non-lame at the same time. There is balance in the universe.
agreed, so present it as such, and not as an attack so as to avoid any further flaming of the other's approach to their education.
