Hi guys......just wanted to say..i've been accepted

Nursing Students Online Learning

Published

Into the local LPN program...but.....as you know, I really wanted to do deaconess online.....

:rotfl:

I have so many different emotions running right now! I'm happy

anxious :coollook: and a little afraid all at the same time. I've just been accepted into the local program in my area. We will start the first day of class on Aug 16th and will graduate on July 12th (got this from info session on Saturday). I'm afraid because I have to quit my comp tech (40,000 per year --took 6 years to get to this amount with a MS in info studies) job for the 11 months and work as a CNA; however, I'm looking towards the future and the many possibilities that nursing offers. The nursing field will offer so much more that what I'm getting now.... and I'll be able to incorporate the technical knowledge into the medical field.... I'm excited by scared. Any thoughts on this...please!

Congratulations Shiela ! Anxious and afraid are normal as I'm sure you know !

Great feeling eh? :chuckle :balloons:

Sheila,

I am so glad that you have found your starting point...alot of times this is the biggest challenge...STARTING...but now you will be on your way!

Best Wishes to you!

Cheri :)

Good luck on your career move! I know its a big jump to take, but it sounds like you are determined and eager to go. I can really appreciate your situation, as I was there 15 years ago. I have an Assoc. Degree in Broadcasting and had been working in that field for 10 years. I gave up a good paying job in radio to go back to school as an LPN. And not for one minute have I regretted it! I always say no education or experience is wasted. I use skills from my broadcasting days every day in nursing. (Communication skills, writing skills, even computer skills) So good luck and keep us posted!:balloons:
