Grand Canyon RN-BSN

Nursing Students Online Learning

Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?

Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?

Off topic...partly, so I can live on the wild side. But I always pay for it! I went on vacation the last 2 1/2 weeks (yes even doing 2 classes), but my family needed it...I just stayed up late after everyone had gone to bed (so so sleep deprived!). So we got home this evening to return to 3 days of hard slog starting tomorrow....and the refrigerator went belly up while we are gone (I did have visions of an early bedtime, now it's cleaning out a stinky fridge)!!! My microwave went before Christmas, so does anyone out there want to figure what the third appliance will be??? Add to that I just really dislike the first week of class, figuring out the groove...how the teacher will grade, who to avoid posting on because they are a nut job ya know, the usual. Ok rant over, back to getting the fridge done, showers, a DQ with 2 posts for a day of school yadayadayada (hey I can fit that all in in the next 3 hours, righhhhtttt).

I pick the oven!!! time to order Pizza!! Actually the first 2 weeks..as many times it takes them until the following week to get the grades back! Hope you find time to breathe!!

The dIshwasher will be next. Everything dies in threes.

Glad you got a vaca in, but it sucks about the appliances.

Next year you can go on vacation and not worry about school!

What class dud you start?

Does not matter to me....I could email my adviser and change the order around, but don't foresee me doing that......

The 2 classes that I can test out of changed.....used to be some kind of drug awareness class and another.....now these 2 are something totally different. I have the emails from my original adviser..so hopefully they don't give me a hard time..and all of a sudden say I can't test out of them. I have heard a few people from GCU run into this issue...almost seems like a bait and hook thing...Not too concerned. If I was working with kids..different story, lol

Flames, I am in your same boat. I am in class 7/12 and will have 2 extra classes after capstone. My classes that were offered in the beginning do not seem to be the same. First classes were like easy sounding ones, nutrition and some pharmacology.

Well there's a problem with your scenario. I do not have a dishwasher.

Im counting it down and there will be a summer vaca! I will actually sleep. I started Leadership and Patho starts the 2nd I figure the hard week will be the one where I am in week 5 of Leadership and week 2 of Patho so my goal is to have that last week of Leadership done before it arrives.

Im officially psycho about getting this done. I'm already thinking about overlapping the last week of Patho with Trends. Then down to the Capstone. So so close. I'd be done if my mom didn't have surgery I took 7 weeks off for that and the month off after Stats. But I was burned out after what happened there. Life! :cyclops:

Now for some sleep. But everything got done, well except the laundry, that's going to take a few days. And no the washer/dryer cannot go out I replaced those this last year.

I was to do those "2" classes during my nearly 6 months off..but being the slacker I am....I just chilled and enjoyed Rhode Island, lol

I may take more time off soon and head back to Canada to help my dad out depending how is health goes....so I may end up switching them around then when I get back here do Capstone...wait and see.....

Hey guys, I hope all is well with everyone. As for me I have been going through so much with life (miscarriage) and school(instructor that is never wrong and so confusing) that I have been overwhelmed and MIA. I am in week 4 of Spirituality and man has this class been kicking my but. I can't wait till this is over! I have leadership next and I'm telling you I am so losing motivation at this point.

Beauty, I'm so sorry about the m/c. Having a few in my past, I understand the loss you are feeling. :(

I can't imagine having to focus on school at this point in time. Kudos to you though for sticking with it despite your sadness.

I think we all hit a wall right after stats and it is so difficult to keep writing papers and answering those DQ. Keep on going though, because there is light at the end of the GCU tunnel. You can do this!!

Isn't spirituality awful? LOL. Well, maybe that's too strong, but I totally underestimated that class.

I'm curious who your instructor is that is a pain? Hopefully not who I had for spirituality.

I have another one to move from the good list to the watch list who teaches upcoming classes.

Well good. One less appliance to go belly up. ;). We replaced both washer and dryer last year and I'm thinking the fridge will be this year..

I'm sending you a pm..

Thanks Tokmom. I have been emotionally all over the place as this was my first time having a m/c. After 10yrs I was ready to have a second chilld but I guess God had different plans for me. I will PM you my Spirituality instructors name.
