I'm sorry if this has already been brought up, but I see EC and CA have reached an agreement: if you are an LPN before you go through EC and you apply for licensure from out of state you can go... Read More

I'm looking for that letter on their site, I know it was a brand new one, not the one from April...I know it's there, I know I wasn't in the Twilight Zone when I read that........

Yes - as an ASN graduate and current RN-to-BSN student, I have an EC username and password. Couldn't find it with a site search of either entity's website.

While the BRN might not like to readily admit to such an outcome, it should be front page news for EC if it were true.

I think giving EC students the same consideration as other out-of-state applicants is exactly what the BRN would like to prove that it is doing. Their point in this whole thing is, 'Hey, nothing against EC personally, but we're just applying the process that we use to approve everyone else, which includes evidence of supervised clinical experiences.'

I called the school to ask why the letter wasn't on their site anymore...they acted like they knew nothing about it.

But I tell you I saw it clear as day! A link that said "Exciting News Regarding Excelsior and California!" or something close to that. I clicked on the link and read the whole thing, then came and posted it on here. I honestly saw it! I promise to God!

    I'm utterly confused now...

I'm doubting that this link is what the OP was referring to, as it seems to apply only to LVN's if I'm reading correctly and it would still require those LVN's to complete a 400 hour precepted experience.

I'm also surprised at not hearing of any updates or new developments on this since the letter several months ago.

bump...i have a friend who just moved to Cali and would like this information. She could possibly get her license in FL since this is where she resided before if this is true, and then transfer it to CA.
