Finally have a Date!!!!!

I applied for the CPNE June 4th at the MPAC. They are still scheduling April and told me that it would be sometime next year before they would schedule me. Well today I transfered to the NPAC and they offered me two dates. Sept 26-28 or Dec 5-7 and I picked DEC 5-7. I went to Lynn's workshop over the weekend and she gave me a great amount of confidence and broke down the Care planning and paperwork. The skills lab was a good addition because she demonstrated a mock PCS covering several areas of care. It was a tiring but good experience!

congrats on your date nc girl :yeah:, txspadequeen- i'm going to utica in oct and for my husband and i rt, it is 625$ for both and that is from phoenix and the rental cars are cheap, they are practically giving them away, i think it's worth the extra expense, just to get it done befor another rule pops up

Thats a good price. I am thankful that I don't have to rent a car. The hotel will pick us up from the airport and will take me to the hospital.

if i fly to ny it will be just me and i got a quote last night for $211 round trip. i just need to know what site is closest to the airport so i don't need to rent a car. i have never really ventured out of texas....me kinda scared...could i call the npac and they give me a list of dates prior to me transferring from the mpac if i tell them i am waiting on a cancellation date. i don't want to test until about nov .....

well i compared priceline.com and delta.com and they both were the same price but i went with delta because we can get the skymiles. i though $400 was reasonable considering it's costing us $800 to fly to florida in nov. but that includes all taxes and transfers to the boat but still a big difference. by the way when did you apply? when i first called the npac, yesterday they told me that they did not have anymore dates this year but when she found out i applied in june, she magically went back to her list and gave me two dates. she said they only thing she has is dates when people cancel but if you call and say i'll take a cancellation date, she will probably give you a date.

Utica does have a peds unit but the weekend I tested we all had substitutes. Way to go getting a date! I thought Utica was a great place to test. The CE's I had for my labs and pcs's were really laid back, friendly, and helpful. They told me after I passed that they knew I would make it. I went in confident and when they see that I think they're more willing to overlook little things.:wink2:

My first set of CEs at Albany has sticks up their butts. The second set

were utterly fabulous. And I was not failed for documenting left upper and lower lobes as slight crackles instead of abnormal.

I just booked through them. By the time I added collision insurance and tax, it cost me $188. But they were still cheaper than the rest.
