I only have two exams left with Excelsior, Reproduction and Transitions. I took Reproduction on Friday and got a D. It is the only exam that I have failed. Needless to say, I was really upset and am now losing confidence in myself to schedule the next exam. I am usually a VERY confident test taker but after failing Reproduction I do not want to second guess Transitions. I am beginning to study for it now but have overall a bad feelings. Any ideas or support would be great. How do you brush off that one bad test and keep going on track?

Chin up!

Maternity and OB was never my favorite subjects.

Just review, and if you can find a 100TTK, you'll do just fine next time.

Good luck!

Just keep going!! Give yourself a day or two to regroup, and keep plugging along. Did you use the exact same study habits for Repro that you did for other exams? I think there must be so many varieties of exams out there, some that I had a history of be easy, I thought were hard. Repro was one of them, and my knowledge of ob/gyn anatomy/physiology is huge! Plus I had 1 year in OB floor and 2 years OB clinic, lol. Don't rush Transitions, I thought it was more difficult and I had the most mult choice/mult answer on that exam more than any other! Did you use Saunders NCLEX review at all? Great resource!

sorry that really sucks! I failed LS3 with a D, not ONCE but TWICE! =( I was also unmotivated, but i moved on and finished a humanities course (got a B) and am now going to re=attempt LS3 for the third time at the end of this month! LS3 was and still is the only "failure" i've had...everything else seemed pretty easy so that was a huge slap in the face...just keep moving along i sat and did nothting for 3 mo and i could kick myself now for it! 2011 RN here we come!

We will Fina11y be RNs this year if I can get past these two LS exams. I have to retake them both sometime this month hopefully.

Don't let it get you down. It is all part of the process. Life is a test and we win some and lose some. Not getting the test results we need is a real bummer but you have got to pick yourself up, brush yourself off and get right back at it. YOU HAVE COME WAY TO FAR TO GET DISCOURAGED! You guys on this site keep me motivated. I check on here all the time to see how everyone is doing and it keeps me focused. Please keep going! You are going to be a fabulous RN!

Tasha, I am so happy to see you posting again. I was praying you were out there someone, Succeeding!! You Go Girl! You too, MsPC!

hi mamac0805, i think i understand how you feel. i have 1 more nursing test that i keep getting a d on. i don't know if i could be any help but i would suggest you start with your weak areas and take as many practice tests you can fine.

Thanks for all the support. I am regrouped and am going to focus on Transitions and come back to Repro. I guess i underestimated the difficulty of the test. I did study the same way as all of my other exams (but have the least experience at Repro.) I did use the NCLEX review to study but will focus on my weaker areas. Thanks again for all the support! No other choice but to pick yourself up and keep going!
