hey so u took this case to court? yea? because am so confused right now....i registerd last wk and the freakn guy told me to get back to him b4 tues to cancel it....blah blah blah not tellin me that i had to cancel within 3 days and ofcourse its partially my fault for not thoroughly readin the contract but regardless, how can you force someone into doing something....it is dumb....i dont know, what can i do to end this.......any advice?

and in addition am not even an lvn yet......am in the process of takin the boards

If it is past the time for legal cancellation, you are stuck with a binding contract. TCN has reportedly taken people to court for not paying, they have won, and seized assets. So do not let the monthly debt payment slide, thinking it will just go away. It won't.

so it nt possible to hire a lawyer to atleast get me off of this stupidity?...............so am just suppose to pay for somethin am not using?

By all means, seek legal advice, but the attorney will most likely read the contract and tell you that your window for cancellation is long gone.

I assure you that TCN had skillful lawyers write up their contracts so that they will hold up in court. Regardless of what a TCN salesman may have told you, what counts is what you agreed to when you signed the contract. If you did not cancel within the 72 hour window, then, yes, you are just supposed to pay for something you're not using ... You signed a legally binding contract, and are legally obligated to abide by it, unless TCN did (or does) something to abrogate the conditions of the contract, and I'm sure they're careful not to do that.

There have been many threads here started by people who have had bad experiences with TCN, and I don't think I've ever seen one that ended with the person successfully getting out of the contract (after the original 72 hour cancellation period).

I don't mean to sound mean but, if you signed the contract without reading it carefully and understanding all the provisions, no one is "forcing" you to do anything -- you voluntarily entered into the contract.

The only thing you're "forced" to do is pay off the contract you signed with TCN. The rest is up to you.

You might want to advertise your purchases, "unopened, still in wrapper", on ebay to get a fraction of your investment returned. Do not expect to get much.
