How long ago did you graduate and how long did the program take you? Did you use Excelsior's course work etc. or go through a secondary program, like Rue? I am an LPN and I had to challenge the A&P (GASP!) and passed. Still plugging along.........

[font="verdana"]be aware that all lpn-adn programs lead back to excelsior college, as they are the only accrediated college that you can get your degree through. you can get all your books etc. from them versus paying for the same stuff through the other programs. consumer beware!

The study guides for each of the NC tests can be downloaded from the Excelsior website www.excelsior.edu. The guides also give an up to date listing of the recommended references for the tests.

The best references I've found for the tests are NCLEX prep books. One person posted on this site that these were the only references he used. You can find used books on half.com and other book websites. You can also find used versions of the various study guides put out by the publishers. People sell these at a fraction of what they paid for them when they signed up with the publishers. Be warned, though, that some people have complained that they didn't find these study guides to be useful, so be wary.

I just looked at excelsior's website for their msn program. Currently they offer an msn for Nurse Education Specialist and Nurse Management.

I made the mistake of signing on the dotted line with College Network ,save your money .You can go to e-bay and buy these study guides from all different companys. I have bought some text books off of ABEBOOKS.COM site .Some of the books prices start at $1.00+ shipping .I received Kosier 7th edtion from this site. I'm trying to get in gear to go test so I'm using all resources I can.I also have some of Lisa Arends study guides{she has a site on e-bay also and is a grad from Excelsior with A'S} Wish you well and me too!

Would you be able to tell me which states you heard that do not accept this program? I am wanting to begin this program but am unsure if my state accepts it. Thank you.
