Anyone applying for JU online RN to BSN?

Nursing Students Online Learning

Hi,

I just applied for the RN to BSN online program for Jacksonville University March 2014. Is anyone else applying for the program? Does anyone have some recent input? I know JU is an excellent school, just wondering how everyone likes the online program. I am a new grad and don't have a job yet so I am a little worried about the end project. Hopefully I will be employed by then :)

how much and in average how long will it take?

The price JU charges is $447 per credit hour, there are 32 credits needed for the RN-BSN program given you have completed the gen ed's. And it varies, they have "6 eight week sessions per year" not 3 semesters like most schools. This is nice because you can focus on 1-2 classes per session or more if you wanted. The entire program can be completed in 10 months if you take 2 classes per semester (10 classes), or double that time if you go part time. Or 6 mo if you take 3 classes per session. Hope this helps!

I would say that I'm happy with the way these past two classes turned out!

Hello,

I'm going to be starting in June and I was wondering how the people who started in March are liking the program. I'm really nervous but also excited. Any tips would be much appreciated :)

Hi!

So far I really like it! It is pretty straight forward so I don't really have any tips. I am really happy with the program so far.

I agree, Jacksonville University has been good to me!

Hi guys! I am panning on starting classes at JU online RN to BSN this coming October and was wondering if it is manageable to take 2 classes at the same time? how much time per week do you usually spend on homework for one class? Also can you advise me where to buy books, is it cheaper to rent? Or maybe you have some textbooks you already used and want to sell them. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thx!

"It also has a strong emphasis on Critical Care and their graduates are known for clinical excellence. Customer service has been superb every time I call JU, it seems so organized. Private tuition could be better, but I'm certain the education is well worth it! "

Im moving from Miami to the Jacksonville area and I am BSN shopping sort of say. I wanted to ask you, how is that so from other maybe local online schools for the BSN ?

Im scheduled to start end of April... fingers crossed.. Hows the progress for everyone thus far?

Pros & Cons?

Look forward to hearing from you guys, be blessed!

I finished up in February and I wouldn't change a thing. The program was very organized, instructors were great. I feel the course load was very fair. It was a breeze compared to my ADN program! Good luck
