Any Good Online Nursing Schools?

Nursing Students Online Learning

Published

I am new here and I am searching for an online nursing program. The school where I'm located does not have any openings for their Nursing program until Spring 07'. I really dont want to wait that long. I currently do not have my AA however, I am only 6 classes away from finishing it (My major is not nursing). Does any one have any advise for me. I am really looking forward to getting into the nursing field. Any help would be appreciated! :)

Since you don't already have a medical background (LPN, Paramedic), the only other option that I know of is Deaconess College of Nursing. You can check out their website at http://www.deaconess.edu. They offer an online ASN degree with PN component. You do have to travel to St. Louis once a semester for skills validation, but you can do all of your coursework online and work with a nurse preceptor in your area.

I start this program on Monday, but there are many other allnurses members that have graduated or are currently enrolled and could answer any questions. However, I would just do a search about Deaconess on this site. The information I received was wonderful and helped me to decide that Deaconess was the place for me.

Good luck to you!
