Again the book they recommend is too freaking expensive, I need advice on a good nursing pharmacology book that is hopefully less than $30 on amazon or ebay..

Thank you!!

Just continue to look for a used version on ebay. Eventually you will find one. Just as long as it is not too old an edition. You want to have an edition that is fairly up to date in mentioning some of the newer drugs in use. I bought a paperback edition at a school bookstore that was very reasonable at the time. You might try going to college bookstores and looking for the used books, however, school bookstores are always more expensive than ebay or half.com.

You can buy the previous edition for $3 on half.com./

You're being foolish, though. The med/surg and pharm texts are the two CRUCIAL books. Buy older editions of the others. I wouldn't scrimp on these two.

I agree with Suesquatch. I wouldn't scrimp on Pharm or Med/Surg because things are constantly changing in those areas. The Pharm book I always recommend to others is Pharmacolgy: A Nursing Process Approach by Kee et al. ISBN:0721639275. It also has a very good accompanying workbook.

Thanks :0)

That's actually the one I ordered tonight. I get the condensed paperback pdrs at work, which are cool as they have all the new drugs updated, but I need to have a good pharm textbook as in my current position I haven't passe more than a tylenol in 2 yr.s..Things change so quickly in pharm you are all right I shouldn't scrimp on those two texts, so I bit the bullet and sweet talked DH into getting them for me:lol2:

Good job, Ms Piggy!

I was able to get the 5th addition on ebay for $10 total. It is the 2004 edition, but each year I always buy a new drug reference so that I can stay updated. Also I never get rid of a drug book because some of the newer ones do not have some of the older drugs in them. Good luck to you.
